Reflections

What do you see when you look at yourself in the mirror?
How do you like the Image staring right back at you?
Have you achieved your goals or are you still achieving them?
With your daily activities, do you see yourself moving higher in the ladder of life?
Are you the same person you were yesterday?
Do you get better with each passing day?
Are you proud of who you are and who you are becoming?

These are the questions I think everyone should ask themselves. If you have more positives than negatives then it is likely that you are in the right direction. Kudos to you. However, if the negatives outweighs the scales then you should really really reflect…
You are a product of all the meetings you attend, the things you listen to, read, watch and participate in. Do you invest in your mind? We sometimes make the mistake of just focusing mainly on the outward appearance and in the process starving our mind and intellect. Watch what you listen to, what you read, what you emulate and what you deposit into your life because they have the power to make your life or destroy it.

Chief (Mrs) Onikepo Akande, Professor Gbemisola Oke, Ambassador Folake Marcus Bello, Lady Bridget Itsueli and Mr Paul George Osondu, graced a personality lecture today at Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. The lecture addressed “Building Prospective 21st Century Queens”, on the 1st of November, 2016. Meeting and Listening to these amazing people, game-changers, and wells of knowledge and experience, has made me reflect and realize that my ambitions are indeed achievable, and I can achieve them successfully as long as I keep persevering.

Let these reflections lead you to the right decisions and actions. So that by the end of your life, the image you see in the mirror would smile at you, proud and accomplished with little or no regrets. I am reflecting on these essential points and I encourage you to reflect on them too. Whatever the outcome, I hope you are happy with yourself at the end of the day.

Thank you unostentatioustruth. I just checked your blog and it is a very unique blog that just carries the undertone of sadness and pain and the negative sides of life. It seems you have been through a lot or you are trying to reach people who have had bad experiences in life; and extending an arm of hope to them.
